- Entry must be the original work of the Entrant created solely by human effort for this Contest. The use of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning tools, generative AI systems, or similar technologies to create, generate, modify, enhance, or substantially assist in the creation of any portion of an Entry is strictly prohibited. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to, AI-generated visuals, animations, scripts, voiceovers, facial manipulation, deepfakes, or automated editing tools. Any part of an Entry created or generated by AI, as determined in Sponsor’s or Administrator’s sole discretion, will be disqualified and any prize awarded based on such Submission will be forfeited. All Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant that it determines has violated these Official Rules or is believed to have had used AI, voice altering technology or any other method that violates or undermines the intended entry process or breached a representation or warranty at any time. Entries that do not comply with the Official Rules, including, without limitation, the above Entry Submission Requirements, will be disqualified at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.
Once an Entry is submitted, the Entry is final and may not be modified by Entrant. Material submitted will not be acknowledged or returned. Information collected from Entrant will only be used in a manner consistent with these Official Rules. Entries are subject to the acceptance and acknowledgement of these Official Rules and any other applicable terms of service/privacy policies.
Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. The “authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
By participating in the Contest, Entrant acknowledges that this is not an offer of employment by the Sponsor or the Released Entities. Entrant understands that their Entry will not place Sponsor under any obligation and that Sponsor may use the content without any restriction, compensation or notification to Entrant. 4. JUDGING CRITERIA. Entries will be judged based on the following judging criteria (the “Judging Criteria”). The Judging Criteria will be used to evaluate Entrants in all phases of the Contest:
- The Boston Logan “Vibe” – (40%).
We want a voice that feels like home. When travelers land, your voice should make them feel welcome, safe, and grounded.
The Goal: Be inviting, friendly and unmistakably Boston Logan.
- Crystal Clarity – (20%).
Airports are loud. Really loud. We need a voice that cuts through the terminal noise without ever raising the volume.
The Goal: Effortless understanding – even for travelers in a hurry or for whom English isn’t a first language.
- Smooth Delivery – (20%).
Can you give directions or share a PSA without sounding like a robot?
The Goal: Keep it steady, natural and easy to listen to – even if a traveler hears you five times in one day, make them want more!
- Keep it Real – (10%).
- Why you? – (10%).
Along with your voice, we want to hear the reason you’re drawn to represent Boston Logan and why this role feels personal to you.
The Goal – To hear your genuine relationship with Greater Boston and Boston Logan.
Don’t “over-act.” We just want the most authentic version of you!
The Goal – Be sincere, approachable, and genuinely helpful so even a standard announcement feels personal.
5. WINNER DETERMINATION.
FIRST ROUND JUDGING – SELECTION OF SEMI-FINALISTS. All eligible Entries received during the Contest Period will be judged by representatives of the Sponsor using the Judging Criteria set forth above. The fifteen (15) Entries with the highest scores will be deemed potential Semi-Finalists, and shall advance to the Second Round of judging, subject to eligibility verification. Sponsor reserves the right to select a greater or lesser number of potential Semi-Finalists in its sole discretion. In the event of a tie, tied Entries will be re-evaluated by representatives of the Sponsor who will serve as a tiebreaker using the Judging Criteria above.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM SELECTED AS A POTENTIAL SEMI-FINALIST? Potential Semi-Finalists will be notified by the Administrator via email and/or phone on/about October 9, 2026. Each potential Semi-Finalist will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release and any other requested documentation (the “Documents”) whereby potential Semi-Finalist (1) attests that they meet the eligibility requirements and comply with the Official Rules; (2) waives liability against the Released Entities; (3) consents to undergo and complete a confidential background check; and (4) agrees to participate in a live audition (the “Live Audition”) at a Sponsor-specified date, time and location in October within the Boston metropolitan area (the “Live Audition Event”), which will be recorded and posted on the Contest Website for Public Voting, as set forth below. Advancement to the Second Round of judging requires the submission of all mandatory Documents by the deadline noted in the notification. If a potential Semi-Finalist cannot be contacted after a reasonable attempt has been made by Administrator (as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion), or fails to timely complete and return the Documents without alteration and in the form presented by Administrator by the deadline, or declines to undergo a background check, or declines to participate, or if any notification is rejected or returned as undeliverable, then such potential Semi-Finalist will be disqualified and forfeits all rights to be deemed a Semi-Finalist. Additionally, if the background check reveals that a potential Semi-Finalist has engaged in conduct that could damage the reputation of Sponsor or any of the Released Entities, as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion, Sponsor may disqualify such Entrant. Upon disqualification the Sponsor will have no further obligation to that Entrant.
SECOND ROUND JUDGING – SELECTION OF FINALISTS. Semi-Finalist Entries will be judged by representatives of the Sponsor using the Judging Criteria set forth above to determine the eight (8) Finalists who will advance to the Live Audition round. Confirmed Finalists are required to participate in the Live Audition Event and must be able to travel to a Sponsor-specified location in October 2026 or as otherwise specified by the Sponsor.
FINALISTS – LIVE AUDITION EVENT. The eight (8) Finalists who advance to the live audition round will be contacted by the Sponsor with instructions on next steps. Each Finalist’s Live Audition (which will include an interview) will be recorded. The audio/video recording of the Live Audition will be posted on the Contest Website for public voting (“Public Voting”). Finalists must be present at the Live Audition Event and participate in the Live Audition Event in order to proceed to the Public Voting phase of the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to alter the number of Finalists that participate in the Live Audition Event.
PUBLIC VOTING. Beginning on October 24, 2026 an audio/video recording of each Finalist’s Live Audition will be posted on the Contest Website for Public Voting. Residents of Massachusetts who are 18 or older with a valid email address and mobile phone number may go to voiceoflogan.com during the Public Voting Period (see Rule 2) and vote for the Finalist they believe best meets the Judging Criteria stated above. Limit one (1) vote per person/email address/mobile phone number. Multiple votes received from any person in excess of the stated limitation will be void. Any attempt by a Finalist or voter to obtain votes by any fraudulent or inappropriate means, including without limitation, utilizing automated programs or any other methods that influence or undermine a fair voting process, by creating multiple email accounts, utilizing paid advertising or offering inducements to members of the public, will void those votes and Finalist may be disqualified as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to change voting eligibility and procedures at any time, at its sole discretion.
HOW WILL THE WINNER BE DETERMINED? At the end of the Public Voting Period, the number of votes for each Finalist will be calculated to determine the winner (the “Winner”). The Finalist with the highest number of valid votes will be deemed the Winner. In the event of a tie, tied Finalists will be re-evaluated by representatives of the Sponsor who will serve as a tiebreaker using the Judging Criteria above.
6. THE PRIZE. The Winner will earn the title of “The Voice of Logan” (the “Prize”) and have the opportunity to record Public Service Announcements (“PSAs”) to be broadcast throughout the terminals at Boston Logan Airport. There is no monetary value associated with the Prize. Winner will be required to execute any additional paperwork and/or agreements as required by the Sponsor. Sponsor’s decisions regarding all Contest matters, including PSA recording sessions and the use of the recorded PSAs are at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Any expenses relating to the acceptance of the Prize not specified herein are the sole responsibility of the Winner. All prize details not specified in these Official Rules will be determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. No substitution or transfer of the Prize is permitted.
7. CONDUCT. By entering, Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements and the decisions of the Sponsor and its agents, which are final and binding. The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual: (a) suspected of tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; (b) to be acting in any manner deemed by the Sponsor to be in violation of the Official Rules; or (c) to be acting in any manner deemed by the Sponsor to constitute unsportsmanlike or disruptive behavior, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any attempt by an Entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage the Contest Website or any online platform, service or website, or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest, may be a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and/or other remedies (including without limitation attorney’s fees) from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision. Any false information provided within the context of this Contest by an Entrant including but not limited to identity, the creation or ownership of an Entry will result in disqualification.
8. RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY. By participating in the Contest, Entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and the Released Entities from and against any claim or cause of action or liability, including but not limited to claims for personal injury, death, or losses to persons or property, as well as for claims based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, trademark infringement or any other intellectual property-related cause of action, arising out of participation in the Contest or acceptance, use or misuse of any Prize awarded or Prize-related activity. The Released Entities assume no responsibility or liability for (a) any incorrect or inaccurate Entry information, or for any lost, late, illegible, stolen, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, misdirected, faulty, failed, garbled or jumbled electronic data transmissions; (b) any unauthorized access to, destruction or alteration of Entries at any point in the operation of this Contest; (c) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers, social media sites or providers utilized in any aspect of the operation of the Contest, or any error or malfunction whether mechanical, human or electronic that may limit a person’s ability to participate in the Contest; (d) inaccessibility or unavailability of the Internet, platform or any combination thereof; or (e) any injury or damage to a participant’s or to any other person's computer, mobile or other device which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the Contest or access any materials from/about the Contest. Released Entities assume no responsibility for undeliverable email messages resulting from any form of active or passive email filtering by a user's Internet service provider and/or email client or for insufficient space in user's email account to receive email. If, for any reason, the Contest is not able to run through completion for reasons which may include, without limitation, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, including any other factors beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control such as a Force Majeure (e.g., war, riots, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, blackouts, supply shortages, order of governmental authority,) an “act of God” (e.g., natural disasters, weather, etc.) or an unforeseeable health event (e.g. pandemic or epidemic), then the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest in whole or in part, without further liability to the Entrants or any third parties. In the event the Contest is cancelled, Sponsor reserves the right but not the obligation to select a Winner from among all available non-suspect Entries received prior to the time of the action or event warranting such cancellation.
9. PRIVACY. Sponsor and its authorized agents will collect, use, and disclose the personal information Entrants provide when they enter the Contest for the purpose of administering the Contest. By participating in this Contest, Entrants consent to such collection, use, and disclosure of personal information. Information collected from Entrants is subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy and Administrator’s privacy policy.
10. GRANT OF RIGHTS. Entrants producing and submitting Entry materials in connection with this Contest do so without compensation and at their own risk. Submission of an Entry constitutes permission for Sponsor and its agents to use Entrant’s name, likeness and Entry materials for purposes of advertising and trade without further notice and compensation, in any media (now or hereafter devised) worldwide, unless prohibited by law. Sponsor and its agents shall have the unrestricted and exclusive right to edit, publish, display, broadcast and/or otherwise use any Entry content without restriction of any kind. Finalists/Winner’s participation in any photographs, audio or video audition recordings, or other events associated with participating in the Contest and/or winning the Prize shall be owned by the Sponsor who may edit, modify, and distribute the recordings and photographs and all elements of such participation, including, without limitation, the names and likenesses of any persons, locations and content embodied therein, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in any language, throughout the world, in perpetuity and in any manner, for trade, advertising, promotional, commercial, or any other purposes without further review, notice, approval, consideration, or compensation to the Winner or any third party.
11. DISPUTES; Governing Law; FORUM.
This Contest is conducted in English (which will be given its everyday ordinary meaning), and any and all disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts exclusively, and subject to the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Should there be a conflict between the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and any other laws, the conflict will be resolved in favor of the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Entrants irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction of said courts and waive any claim of forum non-conveniens or lack of personal jurisdiction they may have. To the extent allowed by law, Entrants will not be permitted to obtain awards for, and each Entrant hereby waives, all rights to claim punitive, incidental, consequential or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses. Each Entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Contest, or any Prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action.
